I read the original Dracula years ago when I was around 11 and absolutely loved it. This Usborne retelling is awesome. The illustrator Victor Tavares really brings the story to life. This is my favorite in the Usborne "Young Reading Series 3." I won't read this book aloud to my kids (too scary for little ones). But when my kids are old enough to read on their own, I think they'll love it. One of my favorite original characters was missing from this version (the spider-eating lunatic.) C'est perfect.
