Sadly, Cindy Gerard's heroines in the Black Ops series seem to not be for me with the exception of Jenna (Show No Mercy) and B.J. (Feel the Heat).

I didn't like Sophie at all. Even less than Abbie (which surprised me) and Crystal. She had zero personality and all I learned from her was that she had a school, knew how to speak Spanish, had a daughter, was married, and loved having men pining after her.

Have I said I hate love triangles? I HATE THEM. And guess what? We get one in the flashbacks that leaves remains throughout the book. MY WORST NIGHTMARE.

In the flashbacks, she leads both the hero Wyatt and his best friend Hugh only to end up marrying Hugh in the end. In the present, she's attracted to Wyatt, says she should've chosen him and yet I never saw any action from her leading me to believe she spoke the truth. She also had an admirer named Diego who wanted her and she never pushes him away even though she's "oh so attracted and in love with Wyatt." Yeah, right.

I never understood why Wyatt wanted her and decided to change his life for her.

And to make matters worse, there's a secondary story including Johnny and Crystal Reed. Not interested because I don't like them.

The only that part that kept me going were the BOIs and his brotherhood, especially getting to see Mean Joe Green speaking more.

Enjoyed the suspense and romance. I liked how characters from past groups were included.
I've got to start pacing myself, I read these books too fast. Before I know it I'm at the end of my book and then the series is over😩
But I LOVE it so😞
I love this writer! She is so knowledgeable about special OPS and puts a romantic twist to it. I have read all of her books. Once you read one, you are hooked! After a couple of books you get to know the characters as she uses them in others.
These books are great. I could actually write the same recommendation for each one. That would be boring and these books are not boring by any means. They are packed full of action, excitement, some fun with love thrown in; the only way to go.
Love this series, every story different, although it's the same group of guys, who are the heroes. Love the way Cindy builds up their characters & makes them seem believable, even if super brave. Although I guessed who the ultimate baddy was, long before the end; it still kept my attention, even on reereading some time later. You can really lose yourself in this book. Can't recommend it highly enough, for those who like their romance mixed in with hold your breath tension
I have missed Cindy Gerard. I devoured the entire bodyguard series and the first Black Ops books, so was thrilled when this new book came out. I found the story compelling and the right blend of action and romance. I liked the flashbacks, but would have liked a bit more to really buy that Wyatt had been pining for Sophie all these years. I think that Gerard made Wyatt a great, sexy and strong lead. I enjoyed that most of the book was from Wyatt's point of view. I love that her female characters have strength and backbone. The action level was high, exciting and yet believable enough. We got to spend time with all of our favorite BOIs. I would have liked to have a few gaps filled in and wished that it hadnt been so easy to guess the bad guy, but still a very enjoyable read.

I bought this book straight after reading my first Cindy Gerard book, Feel The Heat, as it was in the Black Op series and I wanted to read about another one of those sexy guys.
Risk No Secrets was just as good as Feel The Heat! The author portrays the male point of view very well. This book is another action-packed suspense, with hot love scenes and good character emotions.
